At WPS, pastoral care is not limited to our class teachers.  All staff know pupils individually and are available to support them and their parents with any academic or family matters that might arise. With a high staff-to-pupil ratio, we are able to provide a safe and happy learning environment for all our pupils to enjoy.
In turn, we place a good deal of importance on good behaviour, good manners and personal responsibility.  These are essential building blocks of personal development and they are incorporated into all areas of school life, and reinforced through a strong PSHE programme.

Our House system enables all our pupils to contribute meaningfully to the school community whilst also encouraging an element of competition and purpose to a child’s hard work, commitment and effort.

We believe in celebrating the achievements of our pupils in all aspects of their life at school.  It is central to our ethos. Every Monday, the school gathers for assembly that provides a fitting forum for marking the success of individual pupils.

In recognition of the important the school places on good manners, the Moore Cup is awarded to any pupil who displays an outstanding level of behaviour in school.
