A Chartered Accountant, spending the majority of his career as a merchant banker in corporate finance in the City. A council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and spent some twenty years on various committees in the Institute.

Yvette worked for an international American oil company in the field of public and government relations for almost ten years before leaving to start her own business specialising in 18th and 19th century antiques ceramics. She is a local councillor for Sanderstead and has been a past Mayor for the London Borough of Croydon. Her previous roles on LBC included; Chair of the Audit Committee, Vice Chair of the Pension Committee, Deputy Cabinet Member for Finance, Asset Management and Performance and a representative of the Scrutiny & Overview Committee which looked at all the decisions taken by the Executive. She has also been an active member of the planning committee, resisting overdevelopment, opposing inappropriate building and protecting green belt. Yvette has lived in and around Sanderstead all her life and was educated in local schools. She publishes a magazine “The Sanderstead News” for the Sanderstead Residents’ Association and assists with all local issues. Yvette lives with Chris and has a daughter Natasha, now 27 who is living and working in Zurich, Switzerland. When not working she enjoys her garden, which was opened to the public through the Horticultural Society and ballroom dancing.
