Stuart Sexton, former Advisor to the Secretary of State for Education and Science, founded Warlingham Park School in September 1986.
The first intake of children experienced the value of practical work, in particular technology during a period of great change. Stuart quickly put his educational theories into practice and proved that by combining practical work in design technology and IT, with a solid grounding in Maths and English academic success could be achieved at a primary level.
His innovation was met with great interest as the school led the way in this ground-breaking way of teaching. Many other primary schools quickly followed this pioneering work taken forward by the school and today, the school still excels in the field of technological ways of teaching.
The school has recently been acquired by The Inspired Learning Group, a family of Independent schools and nurseries. Click for more details.
