Warlingham Park School is situated in a quiet residential area with large open playing fields surrounded by a secluded wooded area.
The grounds are substantial for a preparatory school and offer the opportunity for sport to be played at a high level. The woods and fields are the perfect setting for cross-country, and an annual event is held for local and independent schools to compete together. We take full advantage of our breathtaking setting for outdoor learning, Forest Schools and to supplement teaching across the curriculum.
There are two playground areas; one for Nursery, Pre School and Infants where they can play on a variety of equipment supervised by teaching staff and a second area for Juniors.
Within the school site there is a dedicated Nursery, two Pre-School classrooms, three Infant classrooms, four Junior classrooms and an award-winning ICT suite. There are two purpose-built Design Technology rooms and an Art room where all practical subjects including Science can be taught. There are also two music rooms to provide ample space for peripatetic music lessons and a lunchtime practice room.
The school has two halls: a large Assembly Hall and the Sexton Hall. This gives the school the freedom to host a wide variety of after-school activities, PE lessons, lunch, dance and gymnastics. The Sexton Hall with its stage, lighting and back-stage facilities offers the perfect venue for Nativity plays, class plays and workshops.
Lunch is prepared on site in the school’s kitchen from fresh ingredients and eaten in our main Assembly Hall. Children are encouraged to have a cooked lunch. The kitchen is very receptive to cooking for those with allergies and can provide these children with an equally interesting menu.
