Dr Jennifer George, a University Lecturer in Computer Science, participated in British Science Week at WPS. Dr George shared her personal experience from Primary school (where she loved to draw dinosaurs!) to being an academic, in an assembly with Years 3 to 6.

She explained the connections in her background between Design Technology, Coding and Psychology. Dr George fuelled the pupils imagination wjho were given the opportunity to ask her questions. “What is the best thing about your job” and “How can you check that pupils with disabilities can learn from using your technology ?” were two examples of the questions raised by our pupils.

A Big Thank You to Dr.George and we all would love her to come back in the near future.

Ms Dabin delivered an assembly this week to introduce British Science Week at WPS. She dressed in a lab coat in an attempt to smash stereotypes in STEM! Please encourage your child to participate in the ILG Science Competition, entries which must be in by Thursday 23rd March. In the Summer, WPS will be introducing child-led projects with activities to be carried out at home so please watch out for further information!
