Wales Diary 2012 Day 4&5

Thursday 31st May 2012- DAY 4

Wales lived up to its reputation for fine weather - it rained all day! However, we would not allow the elements to affect us.

The morning was spent learning about solar power (how appropriate!). The exciting new buildings at CAT provided the backcloth for our session. Then after lunch we ventured to Machinations where the children learned about automata and built their own working models.

The swimming session was followed by a hearty fish and chip supper back at the Bunkhouse. Our last evening was filled with questions about why the trip wasn't two weeks long, why can't shellfish live in my bedroom drawer, do we have to sing all the time and has anyone seen my purse!!!

Friday 1st June- DAY 5- Journey HOME
Class 7 packed their bags and said goodbye to Braich Goch. Everyone played a unique version of Find Your Possessions before boarding the bus for the long trip home.

We stopped for lunch at Ironbridge and then explored the interactive technology museum at Enginuity - the last activity of a very full week.

Each member of the class learned much from the week; conquering at least some of their fears whilst learning a great deal about themselves. No doubt there will be many memories of this special trip that will remain with them for a long term. Well done, everyone - a brilliant trip for us all!
