Nursery The nursery provides the first step in the educational path through the school. Children are able to join from the age of two and take advantage of the facilities they share with the rest of the school. Activity is mainly play-based, with some simple work on colours, shapes and familiar things. Children are also encouraged to develop pencil control, number recognition and simple drawing and colouring.

Pre-School The main aim of the Pre-School is to provide an environment where a child's enthusiasm for learning can be stimulated. Every child has the opportunity to develop intellectual, physical, spiritual, creative and social skills in a caring and friendly environment. A variety of activities are provided to encourage progress in Early Learning goals including simple letter, word and number recognition games as well as topics that encompass all the basic learning skills. Early writing skills, painting, singing and sand and water play combine with elementary workshop practice and computer work to allow the development of a broad-based education. The children are divided into two classes, based on a combination of age and ability. Pre-School 1 children attend for a minimum of three mornings each week. The classwork is based around weekly topics which cover a wide range of subjects. There is a good balance between freeplay and workskills. Pre-School 2 children have a more structured timetable and begin to use schemes of work for reading, writing and their number work. They are encouraged to learn by discovery and experience, much of their work containing some practical element.
