TONIGHT BBC 2 – 9pm
Mrs. King Goes to Glyndebourne (‘Gareth Goes to Glyndebourne’)
Some of you may remember back in March Mrs. King had landed herself a role in the wonderful Glyndebourne production of Knight Crew. Gareth Malone of BBC 2’s ‘The Choir’ was chorus master, and was filmed for ‘Gareth Goes to Glyndebourne’, to be broadcast starting tonight, 17th, and on the 24th of June and 1st of July on BBC2, 9pm. So look out for Mrs. King in the Mothers’ Chorus.

Class 4 visit to The British Museum
On Thursday 10th June, Class 4 went on a trip to the British Museum in London. Class 4 are studying the Egyptians in history and went to see the Egyptian artefacts in the galleries. Everyone was most interested in a male skeleton called “Ginger”. The skeleton is so well preserved it still has skin and hair on it even after having been dead for 4,000years! The children were overawed by the size of the sarcophagus they saw and also the beautiful colours and hieroglyphs that still adorned coffins after all these years. A great day was had by all. Mrs. Chellingworth
Informal Concert

On Friday 11th June WPS held its annual Informal Concert. As usual there was an amazing variety of musical talent, with at least one representative from almost each class (next year Class 1 – the triangle?!). The piano, the drums, the guitar, the violin, the fife and singers all featured as soloists to our very own band, which made for an exciting show. The standard was very high and all the children performed brilliantly. It will be a difficult choice as to who will be entertaining us on Speech Day.

Pre-School Parents you are Invited!
Pre-school parents, you are invited to watch your child take part in a music and movement session, on Friday 2nd July at 9:30 am. After the children return to class coffee will be served. Do stay and have a chat.
