December 17, 2009
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May you all have a very enjoyable holiday. See you back at school on January 11th!
‘A Bit of A Do’ The night lived up to its name! Good food, good wine and best of all good music. Personally, I haven’t danced so much in years. Thank you to the Friends of WPS for organising such an enjoyable evening.
Sainsbury’s Choir Visit On Monday the choir sang at Sainsbury’s Warlingham. In half an hour our generous audience dropped £49 into our bucket for our collection for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. Then to our surprise Sainsbury’s gave the school a huge tube full of sports equipment, cooking equipment and even gardening tools. The tube is on display at the front of the school, near the office.
Exterminate! Well done to the team who made the Dalek for the school fair. They made the Croydon Guardian last week.
Humph Photos: If you would like a copy of any of the Humph photos, send an email with your request to jennai and they will be emailed to you.
School Calendars, just a few left! £8.00, send your payment in an envelope marked Calendar with your child’s name and class written on it. Cheques made payable to WPS Parents’ Association. Calendars will be brought home by your child.
Help Santa Appeal: We are gradually covering our world map for our Christmas Appeal to help the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. So far we have collected £90, which translates to 30 Reindeer and 150 countries, rivers and cities. However, there are still many countries to be named and reindeer to be bought. Please encourage your children to donate 50p to this worthy cause.
Babysitter: Jess is available for babysitting over the Christmas holidays. Please contact Helen in the school office.
