Help Santa Appeal
We are gradually covering our world map for our Christmas Appeal
to help the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. However, there
are still many countries to be named and reindeer to be bought.
Please encourage your children to donate 50p to this worthy cause.
School Calendars Now on sale!
These fabulous full-colour calendars feature artwork by every child at the school. They are just £8.00 each and will make great Christmas gifts for your family. Samples can be seen in the school office. Send your payment in an envelope marked Calendar with your child’s name and class written on it. Cheques made payable to WPS Parents’ Association. Calendars will be brought home by your child. Or catch me at drop off or pick up time, when I will be selling them.
Carolling at Sainsburys:
The Choir will be singing at Sainsburys, Warlingham on Monday 14th Dec. at 1:15 to 1:45. Come and enjoy their singing.
Singing for Marie Curie:
The choir were a big hit at the Whitgift Centre last week when they sang in support of Marie Curie. The Croydon Advertiser reporters were there so see this week’s paper!
Christmas Fair:
Thank you to all of you who helped make our Christmas Fair such a success. We made over £1,000!
Class 7 Web Designers:
Class 7 have recently completed a project to design and create a page on the school website using their own photos and text. Please take a look at the finished result under ‘Pupils’ Work’.
Christmas Post Box is now open for business.
Place all your school Christmas cards in the box to be delivered to your friends around the school, by our friendly postmen.
Anne Burling Charity Concert:
Anne Burling is having a flute concert in the school gym at 4:00pm on Sunday 13th December to raise money for Cancer Research. No charge but a retiring collection will be made. The programme will include classical, film and Christmas music. It will last no more than 2 hours, including interval.
Christmas Lunch:
The children will have their Christmas lunch on Thursday 17th Dec. Please note that any children having lunch but NOT staying for afternoon school should be collected at 2:15pm (not 1:30pm as usual!).
End of Term Church Services:
Please note that the end of term church services are at St Leonard’s Church, Church Lane, Chelsham. Parents are invited to attend.
Wanted:
Cardboard photo frames – all sizes – but preferably larger ones. Please give them to Mrs. Moore for an art project.
Dance Lessons:
Our new dance teacher, Katie Cox, will taking over lessons next term. She will be offering both formal ballet lessons and modern dance sessions. There will be a special ‘taster’ session on Friday 15th January, open to all pupils.
