Warlingham Lantern Parade: Warlingham Park School has once again been invited to attend the official turning on of the Christmas lights at Warlingham Green THIS Saturday 14th November. We have been asked to sing carols after the lights have been lit and will be performing at 4:30 pm. Children please meet at 4:15 pm on the Green by Dales. Also, this year, our Fife band will be marching and playing with the Warlingham Flute band. Please come and support this occasion. I am sure you will enjoy it!
Parents’ Evening (TONIGHT!) Thursday 12th November, 7pm – 9pm Appointments should be booked using the schedules on classroom doors. Mr. Donald will be available throughout the evening.
Parking: Parent’s are reminded that all cars must be off the playground by 9:15 in the mornings. The playground is used for games. If you arrive late please park on the road.
Uniform: Blazers: A number of pupils are already proudly wearing the new blazer. These can be ordered from Dick Townley Sports in Sanderstead. If you order your blazer by the end of November the cost will be £27 but after that the cost will be £30! New and Old School Uniform Sale: Wednesday 18th November after school.
Morrisons’ Garden Vouchers: The scheme has now closed so can everyone make an effort to bring in those last few vouchers, please! The box is placed by the front entrance of the school.
Friends Noticeboard: Some of the more observant parents would have spotted our new noticeboard on the wall at the back of the school. The Friends of WPS will endeavour to keep parents informed of everything that is going on at the school – so watch that space!
Christmas Fair Sat. 5th December 11am- 2pm
HELP! To make our Christmas Fair a success we need some help. Could you volunteer a little of your time, 20 -30 minutes, to run your class stall? Please write your name on the rota your class rep will be organising.
Christmas Fair Stalls: Would you like to have a stall at our Christmas Fair? Please contact Abi for details
Prizes: The friends of WPS are looking for kind donations of prizes for the Christmas Fair Raffle. Contact Abi, see above, or leave in school office.
Dr. Who: Do you have any Dr. Who memorabilia that The Friends’ can borrow? Please contact Jenny Aarons if you do.
Pre-School and New Parents you are invited to join us for a coffee tomorrow morning, Friday 13th Nov., at 9:15 am, in the Library. The Friends’of WPS are hosting this morning to get to know our new parents in the school and answer any questions you may have. Ballet/Dance Lessons: Sadly Miss Frazer will not be continuing with her ballet lessons after the end of this term. We are now arranging for a new teacher to start next term, but would like to assess how many parents are interested in ballet or contemporary dance (e.g. jazz, tap and street dance). If you would like your child to join our new dance classes, please inform the school office.
Drum Lessons: We welcome the return of Terry Mabey. There are spaces for drum and guitar tuition – see Mrs. King.
Mufti Day: Friday 27th November Children may come to school out of uniform. In exchange for this privilege, please bring in a bottle (wine, spirits, beer etc.) and a small wrapped present (child gift) for the bottle and present tombolas at the Christmas Fair.
