Lent Event
Thanks to all those who have taken part in our fundraising Lent Event at the end of last term and over the Easter holidays. Please could you hand your money in as soon as possible so that we may send it to our chosen charity, GamBLE- Gambia building links in education.
Summer Dress :
Parents are reminded that girl’s summer dresses are navy (not blue) classic style, pure cotton check with front pocket and need to be purchased exclusively from Marks & Spencer. The code for this year is T766419.
Quiz and Curry night:
There will be a quiz and curry night on Friday 5th June. Please organise teams of six and more details will follow in the Newsletter shortly. Contact Lisa Donovan on 0207 665 2425 if you have any questions about this ‘Friends’ event.
Summer P.E. Kit:
Please ensure that your child has the correct kit for P.E. at school. A large number of children do not have all the required items. Pre-School children are required to have black plimsolls. For Class I upwards your child needs to have navy shorts, white sports socks, WPS blue polo shirt, predominately white trainers, black plimsolls and a plain navy tracksuit with the WPS logo. Class IV upwards are also required to have a black or navy swimming costume or swimming trunks (not shorts) and a plain swimming hat.
Poetry Competition:
Pupils need to practice their poems for the competitions at Half Term.
Film Night:
We have organised a film night for children in Class 3 upwards on Friday 8th May at 6.30. The film showing will be ‘Open Season’. Tickets cost £2.50 and include a drink and tuck. Please give your money to Helen Daly in the school office in a named envelope marked ‘Film Night’.
Hats and Sun Cream:
Please ensure that your child has a WPS cap and sun cream at school on sunny days. For Nursery, Pre-School and Infants please put cream on before coming to school.
