WARLINGHAM PARK SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
Date: 19th November 2008

Sports for Schools
Thank you to all 72 children who took part in the fitness circuit sponsorship for Sports for Schools. Everyone involved made an excellent effort and helped to raise a total of £888.50. Sports for Schools thanked us for welcoming them into our school and supporting their work towards the 2012
Olympics.

Lantern Parade: Thank you to those children who attended the Warlingham Lantern Parade and to those who made lanterns to make it such a wonderful display. Thank you to Angus Bransby, Olive Bransby, Pamela Smithers and Sandy Ball for spending a day with us to help the children make the lanterns. A video clip of the evening is available to view on the Warlingham Park School website.

Book orders: All Scholastic book orders must be in by Friday 21st November so that the books will arrive in time for Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child: Thank you to all those who brought in their shoeboxes. These generous gifts have been collected, along with a number from Greatpark, and are on their way to children in other countries, ready for Christmas morning.

02 Tickets: The tickets have now arrived and are ready for collection from Helen Daly in the school office.

Video to DVD: would anyone be able to transfer some Educational video footage onto DVDs for us? Please contact Helen Daly, the school secretary.

Choir Evening: The Choir are holding a special evening for all parents and friends on Friday 21st November. The evening start at 6.30pm and refreshments will be available.

Basketball and After-School club: Next Thursday, 27th November, the Choir will be singing at the 02 Arena. Therefore Basketball and After-School club will not be on that day.
Mufti Day: We are asking children to bring a bottle and a small wrapped gift to go in our bottle and gift tombola at the Christmas Fair. In exchange we are having a Mufti day on Friday 28th November. Children may wear their own clothes that day.

Cake Day: There will be a cake day on Friday 5th December. Plates will be sent home on the Friday 28th November for your child to decorate before piling with delicious homemade cakes for the cake stall at the Christmas Fair.
