WARLINGHAM PARK SCHOOL NEWSLETTER Date:25th September 2008
Harvest Festival Service
This year’s Harvest Festival service will be on Thursday 9th October at 9.30am at All Saints’ Church, Warlingham. Pupils are asked to bring gifts of tins and packaged foods to the service, to be distributed to residents at local sheltered accommodation and the Nightwatch charity based in Croydon.
School hours: Parents are reminded that school opens at 8.50am, unless children are attending the Breakfast Club, or Early Club in the Library. School finishes at 3.30pm, unless children are in After school club.
Absence from school: If your child is absent from school as a result of illness, please phone the school office as soon as possible in the morning to notify us. If the absence is due to an appointment, a letter should be handed in to school in advance.
After School activities: Spaces are available in our After School activities on the following evenings:
Tuesday Soccer Club
Thursday Basketball
Friday Short Tennis
Digital camera wanted: If any parent is upgrading a camera, could Pre-School 2 have the old digital camera if it is no longer required (and still in working order!).
School Lunches: We are now on week 2 of the menu. After week 3 we will repeat the same menu until after half-term. It would be helpful to Mrs Cave if parents could let her know in writing of any allergies or definite dislikes. Please remember that if your child has school lunches that we will provide them with a packed lunch for outings.
Tokens: WPS is now collecting Morrison’s Let’s Grow vouchers and Flora Cooking for Schools tokens. Please make sure you are given these and then hand them into the School Office.
